Finding Mika was one of those freakish accidental things which sooner or later you realize was meant to be.
Life in Cartoon Motion (new Album), there is not a bad song on there. Although it might take a few times to get used to a couple of them.

It is a carnival of delight and the music makes you realize that your life is a carnival of delight. It is charming, addictive, funny, wicked, sweet, boyish, sexy, and definitive. Thank god the people in my life have all come to love Mika also.

Mika is here to stay, there is no doubt about that, and I haven't really listened to anything but Mika for the last 3 days....have I mentioned the word addictive?

Michael Holbrook Penniman (born 18 August 1983), known as Mika (IPA [ˈmikə]), is a Lebanon-born, London-based singer who has a recording contract with Casablanca Records and Universal Music.

His first single was a limited 7"/download release called "Relax, Take It Easy" (2006). It was play listed by BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom, and was also made Record of the Week by DJ Scott Mills. The Dodgy Holiday EP is also available for download. His song "Billy Brown" was available for free download for a week from the iTunes Store.

Universal Music released his single "Grace Kelly" by digital download on 8 January 2007, and it reached number one on the UK Singles Chart on 21 January 2007. The CD, 12", and limited-edition 7" versions were released on 29 January 2007. The release features remixes by Tom Neville, Bimbo Jones, Linus Loves, and Pull Tiger Tail.

The Used

The members of the Used had to overcome poverty, homelessness, and substance abuse, not to mention the straight-laced attitudes of their hometown of Orem, UT, to bring their screamo tinged brand of post-hardcore to life. But they persevered and earned a contract with Reprise Records, releasing their self-titled debut album in June 2002. Having only played a handful of shows around Orem prior to their record's release, the band vocalist Bert McCracken, guitarist Quinn Allman, bassist Jeph Howard, and drummer Branden Steineckert , began relentless nationwide touring that quickly saw their fan base multiply. They are my favorite all time band these guys can sing anything from soft melodies to totally mind blowing scremo.

.......Lyrically the record has both evolved greatly but still somewhat sticks to what they've been so good at. In Hospital the lyrics categorize a commonly used aspect of emo, which is basically feeling like crap and having all this frustration just build up inside of you until you just want to...go to the hospital. So then there is The Bird and The Worm that basically tells a dark story with something of a post0modernist twist that few can understand. And then Paralyzed is almost a mixture of the two talking about regular emo material but also sounding different and almost poetic, So you’re probably wondering why this record wasn’t given a four out of five stars, seeing that I dig it so much. Well if you keep on reading you figure it out my friends............
